I couldn't even make it through Kung Pow - even the title makes me cringe, I detest the film that much!! Different tastes I guess.

Time travel is impossible, so surely all films which use the concept create implausible paradoxes? Provided they are true to the internal logic of the film (no matter how loose that logic may be), surely that's all we can ask for?

If you haven't already seen it, I recommend FAQ About Time Travel - very funny British comedy.~ CR@B Howard ~https://www.blogger.com/profile/04669167905041856135noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1352560944018665896.post-52711161974110869212010-09-07T05:06:07.415-07:002010-09-07T05:06:07.415-07:00You see, I would find that funny but it was lame. ...You see, I would find that funny but it was lame. It was predictable, the jokes were cheap, a lot of it was cringe worthy, the ending was unbelievable stupid and ridiculous AND the only funny joke which was completely ruined by the unnecessary nudity which was vulgar instead of funny was when the guy kept crying about his wife...and later calling his 12 year old wife (how ever old she was).
Even if it has a broad comedic appeal, if you only find 10% of it funny, there's still the other 90% which isn't.
It was definitely not a film for sophisticated tastes (and this is from someone who loved Kung-Pow)
AND the paradoxical ending completely negates any argument for it to be influenced by Sci-Fi whatsoever.Carly-Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07720409015472094327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1352560944018665896.post-18668086394218059152010-09-07T03:08:40.195-07:002010-09-07T03:08:40.195-07:00What did you not like about it? I thought (swear words aside) it had a very broad comedic appeal which it would be hard to be annoyed by - it wasn't like every second joke was a reference to the space/time continuum, which I could understand not being everyone's idea of hilarious.~ CR@B Howard ~https://www.blogger.com/profile/04669167905041856135noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1352560944018665896.post-81351911902699702662010-09-07T03:04:44.936-07:002010-09-07T03:04:44.936-07:00Could not disagree with your review more.
